Lawrence E. Lawhead is retired of counsel in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg, and served in the Corporate Department. He represented clients in matters dealing with tax planning, business succession planning, estate planning, administration of decedents' estates, wills, trusts, charitable giving, guardianships, corporations, taxation, real estate, zoning, and related areas.
Lawrence graduated with high distinction from Indiana University School of Business in 1976, a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi, and Phi Eta Sigma honorary fraternities. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1981. Lawrence was admitted to practice before all Indiana courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
