Kathleen assists with legal research and analysis on a variety of environmental matters, particularly by preparing memorandums on key client issues, drafting pleadings, discovery, motions and briefs. Valued for her understanding of scientific resources, she also helps conduct and analyze environmental and scientific research for clients.
Kathleen serves as a Barnes & Thornburg AI Practice Champion, one of nearly 40 attorneys across the firm designated to advance the practical use of AI within their practice group and help translate the firm's AI strategy into day-to-day client work.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Kathleen was a summer associate and law clerk with Barnes & Thornburg. She also previously served as a law clerk in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General’s Administrative and Regulatory Enforcement Litigation Division. During law school, Kathleen interned with the Conservation Law Center.
Kathleen spent time while earning her undergraduate degree as a student researcher focusing on avian seed dispersal of native and non-native fruiting plants and how seed preferences affected the landscape of a nature preserve.
