OVERVIEW

Katie Matsoukas has dedicated her career to guiding businesses and individuals through the perils of government regulation and enforcement. From Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act investigations to allegations of money laundering in the cryptocurrency industry, she focuses on areas with high stakes and intense government scrutiny.

With two decades of experience on the defense side, Katie knows how to safeguard her clients’ interests. From considering intersecting business objectives, to avoiding reputational harm, to managing personal well-being, her practical solutions are designed to address all concerns on the client’s mind. Katie is known for spotting key issues and finding creative ways to resolve conflicts, keeping clients in compliance and out of trouble before problems arise.

Adept in all areas of white collar defense, Katie has a particular focus in the healthcare, higher education and financial services industries. Along with defending against government investigations, she's led internal and whistleblower probes and held leadership roles in the monitorships of a medical technology corporation and a global telecom collective.

Katie is deeply committed to protecting individuals against government malfeasance or neglect. Her pro bono work focuses on assisting individuals mistreated in prison as well as drafting and submitting clemency petitions.
