With two decades of experience on the defense side, Katie knows how to safeguard her clients’ interests. Her practical solutions are designed to address all concerns on the client’s mind, including consideration of intersecting business objectives, addressing public relations issues, avoiding reputational harm, and managing personal well-being. Katie is known for spotting key issues and finding creative ways to resolve conflicts, often before a matter becomes public.
Adept in all areas of white collar defense, Katie has particular expertise in healthcare, higher education, medical device, securities, and cryptocurrency matters. Along with defending against government investigations, she's led internal and whistleblower probes and held leadership roles in the monitorships of a medical technology corporation and a global telecom collective.
Katie is deeply committed to protecting underrepresented individuals against government malfeasance or neglect. Her pro bono work focuses on assisting individuals mistreated in prison as well as drafting and submitting clemency petitions. She also serves as a board member for the Indiana Federal Community Defenders, a federally funded, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide federal public defense services to indigent defendants in the Southern District of Indiana.
