Julian assists in virtually all aspects of pretrial preparation, including research, drafting pleadings, discovery, and drafting motions. Additionally, he has experience handling unlawful detainer trials, evidentiary hearings, depositions, and negotiating settlements and providing legal counsel to clients.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Julian was a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, where he litigated unlawful detainer cases in the San Diego County Superior Court.
Prior to law school, Julian was a paralegal at a California-based firm assisting clients through the U.S. immigration process. In law school, Julian interned at a criminal defense clinic, where he represented clients accused of misdemeanor crimes in the Manhattan Criminal Court. He also interned at the Queens County, New York, District Attorney's Office and worked as a legal analyst on medical malpractice matters at a startup that used artificial intelligence tools.
