Jonathan Wight is of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Barnes & Thornburg, where he collaborates with the firm on selected matters. A member of the firm's Entertainment, Media and Sports Practice Group, Jonathan's practice focuses on the representation of a variety of U.S. and international entertainment and media clients including film and television production and distribution companies, sales agents, tax funds, individual and institutional financiers and investors as well as individual producers, directors and writers.
Jonathan has assisted a number of high profile U.S. and international clients in a wide range of matters including production funds, joint ventures and tax advantaged financings as well as co financings and output agreements and the acquisition and disposition of film and media content. He has also worked very closely with a number of licensors of specialized rights including, among other things, life rights, deceased celebrity rights, comic books and graphic novels and reality show format rights. Jonathan also has experience with live events, wireless content (including iPhone and Android apps), reality television and web series.
