John Routon is dedicated to protecting and maximizing the value of his clients' intellectual property, developing practical strategies to help secure and protect intellectual property rights, expand into markets worldwide, and manage the risks that come with today's competitive business environment.

In addition to developing intellectual property protection strategies, John advises clients on the agreements that support innovation and commercialization. He negotiates and drafts intellectual property licenses, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, and manufacturer supply agreements, which helps clients safeguard proprietary information and bring new products and technologies to market.

John is a patent attorney whose practice encompasses patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. He prepares and prosecutes applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to obtain intellectual property rights, conducts freedom-to-operate and intellectual property due diligence analyses, and advises clients on intellectual property enforcement, disputes, and litigation.
