Hunt represents energy, water, and wastewater utilities before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission in rate cases, periodic rate adjustment proceedings, certificate of public convenience and necessity cases, preapproval proceedings, rulemakings, investigations, and service-area disputes. He also advises utility clients on financings and acquisitions, and counsels local governments on general municipal matters, including annexations.

Earlier in his career, Hunt practiced at a firm in southern Indiana, handling general litigation, real estate, trusts and estates, and government-related matters. During law school, he clerked at a statewide agricultural policy organization, and externed in the Office of the Indiana Governor and the chambers of Justice Massa of the Indiana Supreme Court. He was also selected as a fellow for his law school's Program on Law and State Government and Rural Justice Initiative.

Hunt grew up on a farm in southern Indiana and brings a background in agriculture and rural communities to his utility and municipal law practice.
