Over the course of his 30-year career with Barnes & Thornburg, corporate and healthcare partner Jeff Hopper provided tailored legal solutions that combined effective consensus-building, clear communication, and skilled negotiation — with an unwavering focus on achieving results that aligned with clients’ goals and vision.
The depth and breadth of Jeff's business and legal career positioned him well to serve clients’ legal needs. His areas of focus in corporate and healthcare including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, finance, securities, commercial contracts, executive compensation, and more. Drawing from his previous banking career as a commercial loan officer, Jeff also brought valuable financial perspective to his legal practice. In addition to practicing law, for 13 years, Jeff served on the firm’s Management Committee during a period of unprecedented growth. In that role, he was principally focused on the firm’s expansion, recruiting, compensation, operations and strategic planning. Jeff also spent 18 years as the partner in charge of legal personnel.
Jeff retired from Barnes & Thornburg on Sept. 13, 2026, to become Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for BrightSpring Health Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTSG).
