A partner in the Real Estate Department, JD Howard has worked on a variety of real estate projects and developments. He focuses his practice on drafting, reviewing and negotiating sophisticated design, engineering, consulting, and construction agreements on behalf of landowners, developers, investors, equity partners, and lenders. JD’s practice covers a wide range of contract structures and delivery methods, including design-build, EPC, CMAR, and traditional design-bid-build, ensuring his clients are protected and positioned for success from pre-construction through project closeout.
JD provides strategic counsel through every stage of new construction and renovation projects to clients operating across a wide range of industries. He has assisted clients with the development of major commercial centers, mixed-use and multi-family housing developments, industrial properties, healthcare facilities, hospitality projects, and even the development and renovation of several well-known golf courses. He also has significant experience navigating clients through the remediation of environmentally impacted properties.
