An associate in the Labor and Employment practice, Hyun Lee defends employers in a wide range of complex employment disputes, utilizing a strategic and detailed-oriented approach. She collaborates with clients to provide strategic and practice advice, ensuring their compliance with continually evolving federal and state employment laws.

As a litigator, Hyun represents employers in class actions, California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions, and single-plaintiff litigation. She defends employers in complicated employment disputes in courts as well as in mediation and arbitration, involving discrimination, harassment, misclassification, retaliation, wage and hour, and wrongful termination claims.

Additionally, Hyun advises employers on employment law compliance issues based on a thorough understanding of clients’ business operations to help them avoid costly litigation. She regularly drafts and reviews employee handbooks and policies, employment and contingent worker agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and proprietary information and invention assignment agreements.

Hyun is also an experienced advisor on employment-related matters in connection with U.S. and international transactions. Her work includes conducting employment due diligence, identifying employment-related risks, and preparing employment documentation and disclosure schedules for transactions.
