Hunter supports clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, from discrimination and accommodation issues to workplace policies and dispute resolution. He combines strong legal analysis with an understanding of workplace dynamics, delivering practical and sustainable solutions tailored to each organization.
He also assists colleges and universities in navigating the complex regulatory landscape governing higher education — including compliance, risk management, investigations, and policy development — supporting sound decision-making and the protection of institutional interests.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Hunter gained experience working in multiple university settings, collaborating with general counsel and athletic departments. This experience provided insight into employment matters in the higher education sector. He earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he served as executive notes and comments editor for the Mississippi Law Journal, and completed a summer associate program at the firm, in addition to other clerkships.
