Heather also advises policyholders on coverage availability for a variety of claims and loss scenarios, including business interruption and other first-party property claims, mass tort matters, environmental liabilities, cybersecurity incidents, government investigations, and severe bodily injury claims. She regularly navigates complex issues such as allocation across multiple policy periods, additional insured and contractual indemnity disputes, late notice and cooperation challenges, bad faith disputes, and bankruptcy-related coverage concerns. Heather has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries for clients.
In the transactional context, Heather works closely with deal teams to lead litigation and insurance diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions. She assesses the liability landscape of target companies, evaluates the scope and adequacy of available insurance coverage, and identifies risk considerations for buyers. She also advises clients on insurance program placement, renewal, and targeted coverage enhancements tailored to their business needs and risk profiles.
