Garrett routinely defends clients in high-profile disputes including claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and other business torts, and false advertising, fake discount pricing, automatic renewal, digital privacy, and product labeling claims under California’s Unfair Competition Law (“UCL”), Consumer Legal Remedies Act (“CLRA”), False Advertising Law (“FAL”), Automatic Renewal Law (“ARL”), and other consumer protection statutes.
Recent highlights from Garrett’s work include prevailing as first-chair trial counsel and obtaining a complete defense verdict in a $250 million dispute between an international retailer and its former vendor, defeating class certification for an international automobile manufacturer in a nationwide vehicle defect class action filed by 43 plaintiffs from 23 states, and prevailing as first-chair trial counsel in a six-figure dispute against a commercial real estate holding company and lessor.
