OVERVIEW

Dino Wu represents sell-side and buy-side clients, including hedge funds, mutual funds, corporations, banks and swap dealers in negotiating trading agreements for derivatives and other financial products. He also assists clients to navigate the related complex regulatory and compliance issues.

Dino advises clients on a wide range of agreements, including those involving derivatives, futures and options, crypto and other digital assets, prime brokerage, margin lending, term commitments, and the custody, netting and optimization of collateral. He also guides clients through master agreements governing repurchase (repo), securities lending and securities forward transactions.

Notably, Dino has extensive experience with virtually all agreements relating to futures and derivatives, cleared and uncleared, including ISDA master agreements, documentation governing swap execution and central clearing, collateral segregation arrangements, credit support annexes and confirmations of equity swaps, options and forwards, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange swaps, currency options and commodities hedges.

He also helps clients comply with regulations relating to derivatives, including the requirements imposed by Dodd-Frank and the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), as well as the various global regulations implementing the Uncleared Margin Rules.

For corporate clients, in addition to interest rate and foreign exchange hedging, Wu advises on equity derivatives transactions, including accelerated share repurchases, forward share repurchases and sales, and call spread and capped call overlays to convertible debt issuances.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Dino was a corporate partner at WilmerHale in New York. He began his legal career as an associate at Davis Polk.
