Corey advises his clients on matters relating to breaches of contract, employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, unfair labor practices, trade secrets, and restrictive employment covenants. He works with employers to assess and respond to evolving labor and employment laws and regulations, aiming to minimize risk while supporting business goals. In addition to his litigation practice, Corey advises clients on employee counseling, internal investigations, and management training. Corey offers clients the strategic foresight needed to resolve conflicts both inside and outside the courtroom.
He has represented numerous employers in all stages of litigation in state and federal court, as well as assisting clients in administrative actions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and similar state and local agencies.
Before joining Barnes & Thornburg’s Labor and Employment department, Corey practiced law in Denver, Colorado, where he defended and advised employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters. His experience working closely with employers across industries informs his practical approach to client service and problem-solving.
