Nurse Paralegal

With more than 40 years of nursing experience and more than 25 years consulting for plaintiff and defense attorneys in obstetric cases, Carol Craig provides litigation teams with medical record review and analysis, standards-of-care assessments, and settlement evaluation support. Her work draws on extensive clinical experience in maternal and child health, patient safety, and healthcare risk management and compliance.

As a nurse consultant and testifying witness, Carol has evaluated obstetric matters for attorneys across multiple states, applying standards of care and clinical judgment to medically complex records and communicating her findings through written reports and deposition testimony.

Carol’s clinical career spans labor and delivery, mother/baby, and Level II nursery care in charge nurse, nurse manager, and clinical coordinator roles, along with 15 years as a clinical nursing instructor for obstetrics and capstone students. She also served for six years as a hospital risk manager and facility compliance officer, investigating event reports and conducting risk and root cause analyses to promote patient safety.
