BK has experience serving as bond counsel, special tax counsel, underwriter’s counsel, disclosure counsel, and borrower’s counsel on a range of transactions. Their work includes financings for hospitals, colleges and universities, affordable housing developments, recycling and utilities facilities, and energy projects.
BK draws on prior experience as an educator and nonprofit administrator to analyze complex legal issues and deliver practical, client-focused guidance for nonprofit, public, and corporate clients.
BK also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing transgender and nonbinary individuals in name change matters and assisting community organizations with nonprofit incorporation and federal tax-exemption applications.
