Ben Vernon advises public entities and private participants on tax-exempt and taxable public finance transactions. He represents cities, counties, school districts, governmental authorities, 501(c)(3) entities, investment banks and private companies in municipal and project financings.
Ben supports clients from structuring through closing, regularly serving as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel, bank counsel and borrower’s counsel. He has worked on financings for a wide variety of projects across different sectors, including multipurpose public and private infrastructure, affordable housing, charter schools, colleges and universities, healthcare, solid waste and renewable energy, gas and electric prepays, transportation, and urban mixed-use development. Ben has worked on tax-exempt and taxable bond transactions in more than 20 states.
