Anne focuses her practice on counseling hospitals and health systems, physicians, ancillary providers, federally qualified health center look-alikes (FQHC-LAs), healthcare technology companies and start-ups, and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, on regulatory and transactional matters. She routinely guides healthcare clients through a wide variety of regulatory and corporate issues including professional and facility licensure, scope of practice, HIPAA compliance, corporate governance and formation, and transactions, including asset and stock acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures. Anne is also well-versed in advising clients on contract formation and negotiation issues related to employment, management, administrative, and vendor services, 340B compliance, and commercial and federal payor participation and reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid.
In the course of her practice, Anne regularly assists clients with issues related to state and federal data privacy laws, including drafting and negotiating data privacy and security contracts and related compliance planning activities including drafting, tailoring, and implementing enterprise and organization-wide data privacy and security policies and procedures and compliance plans, website privacy policies and terms of use, and internal information governance policies. She also counsels clients on state and federal data security incident/breach prevention, mitigation, assessment and response.
Anne’s primary healthcare practice is augmented by her work with the firm’s Government Services team, for which she was recognized as a Rising Star by James Magazine for three consecutive years. Clients look to Anne for her knowledge of the regulatory process and her experience working with state departments of health, licensing boards, attorneys general, and federal regulators including the Office of Civil Rights (OCR), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), to provide valuable insight into issues impacting their business and to help shape the policies and procedures they use in their operations on a daily basis.
