A competitive and determined professional, Alexis Degler advises clients in a wide variety of matters including trademark and copyright enforcement matters, trademark and DMCA takedowns, UDRP complaints, and registrar/webhost liability.
Alexis has well-rounded experience in prosecution, litigation, and Internet fraud defense, which allows her to counsel and identify potential litigation or fraud risks in the early stages of adopting a brand. On the flip side, Alexis recommends additional filing strategies and defenses that help provide strategic advantages in litigation.
Alexis’ deep intellectual property practice includes conducting trademark clearance searches, formulating brand development, IP acquisitions and trademark filing strategies. She also manages global IP portfolios, coordinates with foreign associates, and drafts substantive office action responses.
Alexis also formulates strategy regarding expert surveys, coordinates document collection, and negotiates and drafts settlement agreements for Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and federal court proceedings.
Prior to joining the firm, Alexis worked with a Chicago-based firm, where she represented clients in intellectual property litigation in federal courts and inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She drafted pleadings, substantive motions, and discovery requests, responses and motion.
