Alexander Brown is a commercial litigator who represents corporate policyholders in disputes with their insurers. Alex regularly represents policyholders in high-stakes insurance litigation in both state and federal court and has successfully represented his clients in some of the country’s largest insurance recovery efforts.

When insurance companies refuse to pay claims, Alex counsels his clients in navigating complex insurer disputes, using his deep knowledge of the insurance industry to pursue early resolution. When litigation becomes necessary, he works closely with his clients to develop strategies that focus on the actions needed to prevail, while avoiding the pitfalls that unnecessarily delay resolution.

Alex has obtained significant recoveries for clients in cyber, construction defect, D&O, product liability, commercial property, and professional liability matters. He also has deep experience with a broad range of related coverage issues, including late notice disclaimers, bad faith, and broker liability.

In addition to his insurance recovery practice, Alex represents clients in other commercial contexts, including contract disputes and matters involving TV and film, music, publishing, and likeness rights. Prior to entering private practice, Alex served as a law clerk for the New Jersey Superior Court, Chancery Division.
