Matthew Hall: I Am Barnes & Thornburg

I AM...
- First and foremost, the father of two beautiful children—a son who loves baseball and a daughter who is passionate about music and crafting
- A combat Veteran. I enlisted in the U.S. Army infantry at 17 years old and deployed to Iraq in 2003 with the 4th Infantry Division.
- From Vermont but have also lived in Georgia, Texas, and Massachusetts before settling in Florida
- Passionate about insurance and risk management
- A baseball fanatic. I attend 20-25 major league games each season and visit new stadiums with my kids every year.
- Committed to serving the military veteran community through VA claims work, leading my local VFW, and establishing a scholarship for veterans at UF Law
- A person who likely eats too many jelly beans—not the fancy ones, just the old-fashioned ones
- A 100% disabled veteran who understands firsthand that everyone’s needs are different
- A lover of challenges and strive to become better every day
- A seeker of sunshine who loves being outdoors, which is probably how I ended up in Florida
