Elizabeth Vickery: I Am Barnes & Thornburg

I AM...
- A lifelong lover of fiction. I have six books (or series of books) that I consider “life-defining.” I’m happy to discuss those with anyone who may be interested!
- Active in feral cat trap-neuter-release programs and the world’s worst foster failure
- A proud mom of boys. My oldest is active-duty Marine Corps and my youngest recently came out publicly at Fort Wayne Pride.
- A fierce defender of civility and fairness. I’ll speak out for others in a bathroom stall or on the steps of Congress.
- An Indiana transplant. Born and raised in the South, I admit to a near constant dread of any temperature below 45 degrees.
- Not a fan of waking up any time prior to 10 a.m. It’s just disrespectful.
- Actively seeking a new hobby. I’d love to learn something to do with my hands when I’m stuck indoors.
- An experienced road cyclist. Cycling is the only time my brain completely goes quiet, and I’ve never ridden “far enough” to be finished. My longest ride was 117 miles in a single day and 726 miles in a week.
- Unreasonably independent. No, I don’t need help with that…whatever that is
- The oldest of seven siblings, which probably explains why I am a fierce defender of others and extremely independent.
