Carol Craig: I Am Barnes & Thornburg

I AM...

• Happily married to my college sweetheart, Steve, for 47 years. I am also a mother to three wonderful children (and their spouses), and a grandmother to seven of the most perfect grandchildren in the world—a bit biased, I’m sure.
• A child of God and a born-again Christian
• A former labor and delivery RN and risk manager who is now a much happier nurse paralegal at BT
• Someone who loves to travel, sail, and scuba dive. Two of my favorite trips include a three-week sail/scuba adventure from St. Lucia to Grenada—with my husband as a captain of our sailboat—and a month-long land/sea trip to New Zealand and Australia, which included scuba diving with the sharks at the Great Barrier Reef on a live-aboard dive boat.
• Loving every day living at Ocean Isle Beach, NC, sitting on the beach listening to the waves
• An avid reader, both in written and audio form. I usually devour at least two books a week.
• A pianist/keyboardist since the age of five. I now play in the Coastal Church Band.
• A lover of jigsaw puzzles but admittedly very slow in completing them—unlike my 14-year-old grandson who sees the whole picture at the onset and finishes in less than a day
• An avid fan of the Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Cubs, and all North Carolina state sports. I’m sure you can hear me cheering from wherever you live!
• Admittedly a bit clumsy with imperfect balance—don’t ever ask me to stand on one foot
