Stephen Weizenecker Appointed ABA Advisor to Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee on Child Digital Entertainers Act

Stephen Weizenecker, a partner in the entertainment practice at Barnes & Thornburg, has been appointed by the American Bar Association as an advisor to the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee on the Child Digital Entertainers Act.
The committee is examining legal and financial protections for minors whose name, image, or likeness appear in monetized digital content, as participation in the digital creator economy continues to grow and states consider differing regulatory approaches. The effort is intended to support the development of a more consistent framework that state legislatures may consider as online entertainment models evolve.
In his role as an ABA advisor, Weizenecker will help communicate perspectives from across the legal community and contribute to discussions addressing the intersection of digital media, compensation structures, and youth protections.
Weizenecker’s appointment reflects his experience in entertainment and media matters and his ongoing work with clients navigating the rapidly changing digital content landscape.
