Barnes & Thornburg Named Among Law360’s 2025 White Collar Practice Groups of the Year

Law360 has recognized Barnes & Thornburg’s White Collar, Compliance, and Investigations (WCCI) practice as one of its White Collar Practice Groups of the Year for 2025. The recognition is bestowed each year on firms that played a role in some of the biggest and most significant litigation victories in the past year.
Barnes & Thornburg’s WCCI practice group is comprised of more than 100 lawyers practicing across the United States, including five former U.S. Attorneys, 15 former Assistant U.S. attorneys and former government lawyers from a broad range of federal and state enforcement agencies, veteran career defense attorneys, and former in-house compliance counsel.
Lawyers in the WCCI practice group are uniquely equipped to help companies and individuals prepare for and defend against government investigations in a variety of industries and regularly manage high-profile and high-stakes matters, including federal monitorships, independent investigations (including for higher education institutions), complex False Claims Act matters, and claims involving international corruption, cryptocurrency, money laundering, securities fraud, false statements, antitrust allegations, health care fraud, public corruption, environmental crimes, mail fraud and wire fraud. The group also has broad experience strategizing with corporate and individual clients regarding related matters, such as ethics and compliance, voluntary reporting, public disclosures, remediation, cybersecurity and employment matters.
In its Feb. 25, 2026, profile, Law360 highlighted a number of specific victories that Barnes & Thornburg’s WCCI group achieved in 2025, including securing dismissal of an indictment against a cryptocurrency trader accused of money laundering, securing a major victory for the ex-CFO of a failed digital pharmacy startup and helping a senior trader at a major international bank avoid charges from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after a multiyear investigation.
Barnes & Thornburg’s WCCI group is honored to have been named a Law360 Practice Group of the Year and will continue to evolve to meet the changing priorities in federal, state, and international enforcement as well as remain at the forefront of emerging industries and legal landscapes.
