The article, “Three Ascension Hospitals Pay $20M in CMP Settlement; One Allegation Is Free APPs,” discussed a recent $20 million settlement that stems from Ascension’s compensation arrangements that were found to violate the Civil Monetary Penalties Law’s provisions applicable to the Physician Self-Referral Law (Stark Law) and Anti-Kickback Statute.
