INDIANAPOLIS – Barnes & Thornburg has been named the Best Business Team by the American Lawyer as part of the publication’s 2021 Industry Awards, which honor law firm teams making an identifiable impact on their organization. The firm was recognized for its Legal Operations Department and BTValueWorks, a suite of pricing, process and technology solutions to enhance the delivery of legal services.

BTValueWorks was launched in 2016 and has grown significantly since its inception. In 2019, the firm created the Legal Operations Department under the BTValueWorks umbrella. These groups provide client service, practice innovation, and pricing and analytics solutions to build long-term sustainable alliances with clients. In addition, the team deploys easy-to-use services that drive more efficient and effective management of business and legal matters, supported by scalable teams, processes and technology.
Earlier this year, the firm’s Legal Operations Department was honored by The National Law Journal as 2021 Legal Technology Trailblazer.

The firm was named a finalist in the Best Business Team category in October. Winners were announced during the American Lawyer 2021 Industry Awards ceremony in New York on December 2.
