Barnes & Thornburg Minneapolis Office Named Top Place to Work By Two Publications

MINNEAPOLIS – The Minneapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg has been recognized as one of the best places to work by two of the city’s most prominent media outlets: the Minnesota Star Tribune and the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

This is the first time the firm has been listed in the top 150 workplaces in Minneapolis by the Star Tribune since opening its doors in 2009. The office has grown to 55 attorneys and staff now based in the firm’s Capella Tower location in downtown Minneapolis – and three new summer associates who started two weeks ago.

“These past few months have put ours and so many other workplaces to the test,” said Connie Lahn, managing partner of Barnes & Thornburg’s Minneapolis office. “It’s a real testament to who we are and what we’ve built here that even during these challenging times – and without a physical office space to go to – our employees continue to feel grounded in our office’s culture and community. I’m immensely grateful for that.”

This is the third year the Minneapolis office has been recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal; it was honored in the small company category in 2012 and in the medium company category in 2018. The office will be featured among 20 honorees within the medium company category in the publication’s Best Places to Work issue in August.

With more than 700 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, New York, Ohio, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
