Barnes & Thornburg LLP has added new corporate and litigation attorneys to its Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., offices.
Serj Daniel, an associate in our Los Angeles office, focuses his practice on business litigation, premises liability, product liability, and real property litigation. Daniel has represented clients in large and small organizations and handled a broad spectrum of legal matters, including drafting contracts in the construction and real property disciplines, reviewing insurance policies and preparing coverage opinions, resolving mechanic’s liens disputes, handling landlord-tenant disputes, and litigating product liability claims.
He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2015 and his B.S., cum laude, from California State University in 2011.
Alyssa C. Hughes, an associate in our Indianapolis office, assists clients and advocates for their needs, which are primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, tort litigation, and premises liability litigation. Hughes gained experience at law firms in Indianapolis and as an intern at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School in 2017 and her B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Arizona in 2014.
Adetayo (Tayo) Osuntogun, an associate in our Washington, D.C., office, focuses his practice on international trade, export controls, economic sanctions, and internal investigations. Osuntogun works with major automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, including conducting export compliance investigations, performing internal audits, and designing trade and export compliance programs and training employees on those programs.
Osuntogun earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2014 and his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin in 2010.
Jessica L. Reiss, an associate in our Indianapolis office, has considerable interest and depth of knowledge in environmental law. Her level of understanding stems from multiple, diverse perspectives gained working in numerous positions in the environmental field, including with a state regulatory agency, in environmental consulting, in house with regulated entities, and performing public and private research. Her experience allows her to advise clients with a wide range of environmental issues.
Reiss earned her J.D. from Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, in 2011 where she was the managing editor and staff editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. She earned her B.A. from Ball State University in 2004.
To say that Daniel Seikaly, of counsel based in our Washington, D.C., office, has had a distinguished career dealing with white collar, fraud and national security issues would be an understatement. Seikaly brings more than 30 years of experience in civil and criminal law – both in private practice and in the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the CIA – to bear for his clients.
He earned his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1970 and his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1967.
Oren Tepper, an associate in our Los Angeles office, represents borrowers and lenders in connection with the negotiation and documentation of permanent and mezzanine financing, as well as in the purchase, sale, and leasing of commercial real estate with a focus on multifamily properties and shopping centers.
Tepper earned his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago, in 2008 where he was senior note and comment editor for the International and Comparative Law Review. He earned his B.A. from the University of California in 2003.
Sara E. Wolf, an associate in our Los Angeles office, brings valuable experience to her clients having handled various corporate transactions and financing and governance matters on behalf of early-stage technology companies and other business entities.
Wolf earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2014, during which time she was a visiting J.D. candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. She earned her B.A. from Emory University in 2009.
