New Attorneys Join Grand Rapids and Indianapolis Offices

Barnes & Thornburg LLP has added new attorneys to its Grand Rapids and Indianapolis offices. The new attorneys are:

Joseph D. Hess is an associate in the Grand Rapids office and a member of the Labor and Employment Law Department. Hess counsels and defends employers and managers across all industries in a wide range of pre-litigation and litigation matters. His practice also involves handling traditional labor matters under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), including multiple facets of collective bargaining and defending against unfair labor practice charges. Hess earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2009 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2012.

Brittney N. Sharp is an associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office. As a member of the Corporate Department, Sharp concentrates her practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters. She has represented clients in an array of industries in connection with stock and asset sales and acquisitions, reorganizations, recapitalization transactions, corporate entity formations and corporate restructurings. In 2010, Sharp earned her B.S., summa cum laude, from Butler University. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Ave Maria School of Law in 2013.
