Charlie Denton of the Grand Rapids office was re-elected as chairperson for the NSF International Strategic Registration (ISR) Advisory Council at the annual meeting in Ann Arbor on Nov. 12. In 1944, NSF began establishing sanitation standards for restaurant equipment, but has expanded the scope of its services into global markets, interacting with the business community, government agencies and the public. NSF has more than 1,700 biologists, toxicologists, and other environmental and public health professionals. NSF-ISR provides comprehensive programs for quality management systems' certification, auditing, verification and validation in various sectors, including automotive, medical devices, aerospace, environmental (including greenhouse gas), energy, information technology/security, forestry and global food safety. NSF-ISR maintains offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America, the Middle East and North America.
