Private Equity Under the Regulatory Microscope

John Kelly, chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Healthcare Department and Healthcare Industry Practice, will present alongside Charlene K. Fullmer and Kim Looney at the American Health Law Association (AHLA) 2024 Annual Meeting. Their session, Private Equity Under the Regulatory Microscope, will discuss the expanding role of private equity (PE) in the healthcare industry, federal and state oversight of PE investments in healthcare, and the increased risk of government enforcement actions against PE funds and their portfolio companies, as well as executives. The session will also address antitrust scrutiny of PE investments in healthcare and the increase in physician unionization.
