Privacy, Personal Information and Cybersecurity: Responsibilities Under Harsh New Laws

In just a month or so, on Jan. 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) will go into effect changing not only the data protection legislative landscape in California, but also affecting countless companies located in and outside of the fifth largest economy in the world. Arguably the most comprehensive consumer privacy legislation in U.S. history, the CCPA will create substantial new consumers' rights regarding their personal information and impose various data protection responsibilities on businesses.
