Impacts of COVID-19 on Federal and State Enforcement Actions and Clean-Ups

Charlie Denton was a panelist for the American Bar Association (ABA) Environmental & Energy Litigation Committee Roundtable program, “Impacts of COVID-19 on Federal and State Enforcement Actions and Clean-Ups.” Charlie discussed U.S. EPA enforcement discretion policies relating to COVID-19, a newly filed lawsuit by nine states challenging the EPA policy, environmental enforcement variations by different states in the Southeast and Michigan, and environmental compliance considerations and guidance for reopening after COVID-19 shutdowns.
