U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has issued updated I-9 inspection guidance that significantly redefines what constitutes a substantive violation. Technical and procedural errors which were previously correctable are now treated as substantive violations triggering monetary penalties, even when every employee is authorized to work in the United States.

This webinar will give employers a practical overview of internal Form I-9 audits, common correction issues, and steps to improve compliance under stricter enforcement rules. We will also cover the ICE inspection process, recent rule changes, and best practices for reviewing I-9 files and training HR teams to manage compliance efficiently and consistently.

1.0 hour CLE credit and 1.0 hour HRCI credit pending. This program is valid for 1.0 PDCs for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®
