Barnes & Thornburg Athletics Attorneys to Speak at NACDA and NACUA 2025 Conferences

Firm attorneys will address House implementation, Title IX, and legal challenges facing college athletics

Education
As the pace of change in collegiate athletics accelerates, Barnes & Thornburg’s nationally recognized higher education and sports law teams are on the front lines. Our attorneys will speak and participate at this year’s National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) conferences, continuing our firm’s active role in supporting university clients through this new era.
At NACDA (June 9-10 | Orlando, FL), partner Dan Cohen will participate in several panel discussions covering the most urgent legal challenges facing athletics departments. With Barnes & Thornburg currently advising and consulting universities on legally compliant House implementation structures, Dan will offer perspectives on issues including intellectual property licensing, employment risks, Title IX compliance, tax exposure, immigration risks and more.

At NACUA (June 23 | Seattle, WA), Chris Bayh will present as part of the Sports Law Litigation Update panel.
