Attorneys in the News: Understanding and Engaging With the Media

Trisha Volpe of the Minneapolis office recently led a CLE seminar and communication training at the American Bar Association's Annual Conference held in New York City Aug. 8-15. The session, "Attorneys in the News: Understanding and Engaging With the Media," supports attorneys in navigating the complicated and sometimes mysterious world of the news media, positioning them to become solid and reliable contacts journalists turn to for depth and perspective. The CLE is part of a long-term project Trisha has helped lead over the last several years. The program is sponsored by the Minnesota Women Lawyers organization to help advance women in the practice and to encourage new perspectives in news coverage of legal issues.
