June 18 and 19, 2015, Mari Regnier of the Chicago office and Kendall Millard of the Indianapolis office presented antitrust seminars to Japanese clients and prospects in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan. The seminars highlighted the U.S. Department of Justice's recent pursuit of the Japanese automotive industry for alleged antitrust violations, and provided practical guidance for complying with U.S. antitrust laws. A creative role-play video starring the two speakers, Hide Niiyama, Tomohiko Takahashi, Todd Dixon, and Barbara Keever of the Indianapolis office demonstrated how easy a coffee-shop conversation with a competitor in Japan can turn into bid rigging and a visit from the DOJ and FBI in the US for alleged price fixing. The video was directed by Lou Ann Lambert of the Indianapolis office and Hide. More than 80 people attended the two seminars.
