Demystifying Sustainable Finance & Decarbonization Climate Week: Panel Discussions & Networking Receptions

Kevin Dreher, Alex Bandza, and Rich Glaze will participate in programs discussing sustainable finance and decarbonization during Climate Week NYC. Climate Week is the largest annual climate event of its kind, bringing together more than 600 events and activities across the city of New York. Alongside BDO USA and Triangle, Barnes & Thornburg is a proud co-host of the programming.

Sept. 23

Kevin Dreher, co-chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Insurance Recovery practice, will participate on the panel, “Ensuring Insurability.” This session will include an in-depth discussion of the latest trends in catastrophic loss modeling and climate impact, and how to improve chances of securing long-term coverage.

Alex Bandza will participate on the panel, “Navigating Tax Credits.” The session will discuss solar developers’ recent experiences and pivots around IRA tax incentives, as well as leveraging IRA tax incentives that can fund a project or be bought and sold in an emerging marketplace.

Rich Glaze will participate on the panel, “Carbon Credit Credibility." This presentation will address how companies and third-party organizations are working to build credibility and measurable effects in the carbon credit marketplace.
