Judicial Management of Multidistrict Litigations and Other Consolidations

Jim Murdica and Kendra Lounsberry spoke at the University of Texas Law Review Symposium, “Judicial Management of Multidistrict Litigations and Other Consolidations," at the Jamail Pavilion in Austin, Texas. The firm co-sponsored the symposium, which included the presentation and critique of eight forthcoming law review articles addressing various aspects of multi-district litigation (MDL) practice. Jim moderated a panel discussion by esteemed law professors exploring common “MDL Myths” and the role of insurance in multi-district litigation proceedings. Kendra offered insights on the ethics, effectiveness, and increasing role of settlement counsel as part of a panel discussion, “Innovations in Resolution and Settlement,” which also included U.S. District Court judges the Honorable Robin Rosenberg of the Southern District of Florida, the Honorable Dan Polster of the Northern District of Ohio, and the Honorable William Orrick of the Northern District of California. Tim Hudson, Jake Winslett and Jenna Johnson attended.
