M. Mercedes Badia-Tavas was a panel speaker at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Latin American & Caribbean Chapter’s (LACC) annual conference in Montevideo, Uruguay. The topic, “H-1B, H-1B1, E-3 and TN: Why, When and Where and Which One?” was discussed from a U.S. border and consular adjudication perspective. The conference was attended by chapter members as well as local counsel for Latin American countries. After the conference, Mercedes visited a client, GDM Seeds, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to pitch for their immigration work consisting of over 198 foreign nationals on visas that the company routinely transfers to the U.S. The firm is currently in the process of finalizing the initial immigration project for GDM Seeds due to Mercedes’ work during her visit.
