Direct-to-Employer Contracting Compliance Issues

Mike Grubbs and Pilar Mendez spoke to the Indiana Rural Health Association members during a joint special virtual program, co-presented by Blue & Company and Barnes & Thornburg. Mike and Pilar’s presentation, “Direct-to-Employer Contracting Compliance Issues,” focused on the intersection of provider-employer contracting with the jurisdiction of the following regulatory agencies: Indiana Department of Insurance (risk-based contracting), Federal Trade Commission (antitrust), HHS Office of Inspector General (Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statutes), and HHS Office of Civil Rights (Data Privacy and HIPAA).
