Tom Hoffman and Mike Cavallaro of the Minneapolis office presented at the 2019 NACTT (National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees) Seminar in Indianapolis. Tom presented on July 17 alongside Margaret Burks, Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Southern District of Ohio; David Cox, Cox Law Group; and Alice Whitten, Managing Counsel/SVP, Consumer Banking Division, Secured Lending Section, Wells Fargo Legal Department. Their presentation was titled “Negotiating Plan Confirmation with Secured Creditors – Suggestions for successful resolutions for both parties.” Mike presented on July 19 on “Modification of Confirmed Plans – Changing secured values and other modification issues” alongside Martha Bronitsky, Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Northern District of California; Honorable James Carr, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, Southern District of Indiana; Mary Beth Ausbrooks, Rothschild & Ausbrooks; and Elizabeth Gunn, Assistant Attorney General, Bankruptcy Specialist, Office of the Attorney General, Division of Child Support Enforcement. Along with presenting, Tom and Mike hosted more than 20 clients and prospects at High Velocity for a networking happy hour, followed by a sponsored dinner of the 13th Annual Attorney Creditor Alliance, which included representatives from Wells Fargo, Ford Credit, Chase Bank, Ally Financial and USAA.
