Japan-America Society of Indiana gala

The firm was the title sponsor for the annual Japan-America Society of Indiana (JASI) gala held on Aug. 7 in Indianapolis. In attendance from the firm were Bob Reynolds, Terry Dawson, Chris Felts and Hank McKay of the Indianapolis office, as well as representatives from numerous firm clients. Pete Morse of the Indianapolis office played a customary speaking role in his capacity as Honorary Consul General of Japan and was sure to recognize the firm’s significant and long-standing Japanese Services Practice Group, mentioning several key members by name. Pete and the firm were also acknowledged from the podium by Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, the Consul General of Japan Naoki Ito (pictured following receipt of an award as Honorary Hoosier, bestowed by the governor), and by speakers from Japanese clients NTN Driveshaft and TASUS Corporation. The firm also received universal praise for its “program insert,” created internally. This was the largest gala in JASI history and marks one of the single-largest annual gatherings of Japanese businesses in the U.S. There currently are more than 300 Japanese companies in Indiana, employing more than 70,000 employees.
