2019 Cyber Technology Conference & Policy Summit

Brian McGinnis of the Indianapolis office presented on data security and privacy issues at the 2019 Cyber Technology Conference & Policy Summit. The two-day conference, which took place in Indianapolis on Jan. 8-9, was organized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and brought together a variety of C-level executives and corporate board members, as well as privacy professionals. Brian co-presented with Leon Ravenna, the chief information security officer at KAR Auction Services. Their session titled “Decrypting the Code: GDPR, CaCPA, Managing Personally Identifiable Data and the Specter of Customer Privacy” focused on strategies for compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, along with the new California Consumer Privacy Act that takes effect Jan. 1, 2020.
