Emerging & Complex Insurance Claims Forum

Scott Godes of the Washington, D.C., office was a co-chair of the new Emerging & Complex Insurance Claims Forum, held Feb. 25 and 26 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The conference covered new and emerging risks for in-house counsel and insurance companies, including issues like cybersecurity, consumer class actions, business with China, medical marijuana, and more. In addition to co-chairing the event, Scott was a panelist for a session on insurance for cyberrisks. David Nelson of the Los Angeles office was a panelist for a session regarding consumer class action claims and spoke extensively regarding defense of Telephone Consumer Protection Act claims. Both panels were well-received. There were 75 attendees registered for the event, and the organizer plans to run it annually.
