Attorney Presentation - "Emerging Markets: Exploring Opportunities & Challenges

Gerry Sweeney of the Chicago office participated on a three-member panel discussing Pan-Asian "Emerging Markets: Exploring Opportunities and Challenges" at the 2016 Ascend Convention in Anaheim, California, on Aug. 1. The conference is the largest gathering of Pan-Asian business leaders and professionals in North America with more than 3,000 registered participants. Conference co-sponsor Crowe Horwath LLP invited well-known California businesswoman Margaret Wong, Alan Chu of PwC and Gerry to form the panel. Gerry discussed the volume and types of Asian Pacific direct investment in the U.S., important tips for Asian companies investing in the U.S. and information about the Committee of Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for more than 300 attendees.
