On March 31, Scott Godes of the Washington D.C., office moderated a panel regarding cyber insurance and data breach class actions titled, "Cyber Insurance (How to Get Paid) and Data Breach Class Actions (How To Not Pay)" at the first-ever Incident Response Forum 2016 held at the Four Seasons in Washington, D.C. This conference, the first of its kind, was focused solely on the field of incident response - the work that begins after a data breach. It was geared specifically for legal and compliance professionals who have emerged as critical players during a data breach response. More than 150 people registered for the event, and the attendees included in-house counsel, cybersecurity defense counsel, forensic firms, and government personnel who focus on data breaches.
