Barnes & Thornburg Advises Gravity 360 in Acquisition of Med-Lake Laboratory
Gravity 360, the parent company of clinical laboratory Gravity Diagnostics, announced the deal on Aug. 26, 2026. Med-Lake will continue to operate its full-service clinical laboratory in Milledgeville, Georgia with its nearly 75 employees.
Gravity 360 plans to invest in Med-Lake’s existing operations, expand the menu of tests available to clients and grow the organization’s presence across the Southeast.
“This acquisition is about investing in Med-Lake's team, expanding what they can offer, and bringing Gravity's standards and resources to more patients across the South,” said Tony Remington, CEO and founder of Gravity 360. “It will not be our last step in the region.”
Gravity 360 builds and operates healthcare businesses. Licensed in all 50 states, Gravity Diagnostics uses CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified diagnostics to help providers make better decisions and help payors improve the quality of care while reducing the economic impact of healthcare.
Founded in 2018, Med-Lake offers diagnostic and blood lab testing services to physician practices, skilled nursing facilities, judicial programs and community health providers across Geogia and Alabama.
The Barnes & Thornburg team was led by partner Josh Hollingsworth and included partner Nathan Baker and associates Otto Frenzel, Tyler Watson and Evan Kennedy.
